Stuffed Pepper
Ingredients:
- 1 lb of ground pork
- 2 green peppers
- 1 tbsp ginger, minced
- 2 tbsp green onion, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp gluten-free soy sauce
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp corn starch
- 2 tbsp water
Procedure:
- Marinate the ground pork with ginger, green onion, soy sauce, egg, salt, corn starch, and water.
- Chop each green pepper into 4 pieces and make sure that each piece has enough curve to hold meat.
- Stuff the ground pork into each piece.
- Place stuffed peppers onto a curved metal plate and place the plate into a bamboo steamer.
- Add sufficient water in a pot that is large enough to hold the steamer. Place steamer on the pot and boil water. Then turn the heat slightly down to medium-high and steam the stuffed peppers for 20 minutes.
- Turn off heat to let the steamer cool for 10 minutes. Use a pair of tungs to transfer the stuffed peppers to a plate. Spread the stuffed peppers and garnish with juice left in the metal plate.
- Voila! They are ready to be served with rice.
